Comment on Your kids and their new siblings, a possible fact of life post divorce by Divorce Blog
Neil, sorry to hear about your marital distress.
I’d try not to worry too much, they are young, you’d still see them, you will always be their father.
It’s right and natural that you’d feel cut to pieces by this; it’s; just how it works.
Make an appointment with a legal professional, talk with your friends and family, don’t isolate yourself. Remember too that your children will be fine.
I wish I could say more, do come back and rant if the moods takes you, someone will have a view
Take care

Dear Divorce Blog,
I’ve just been informed by my wife that she wants a divorce (no need to go into the reasons here). My natural reaction is to try and talk here round for the sake of our two kids (a girl aged 5 and a boy aged 2). However, we split up once before we were married (we dated for getting on 10 years before marriage) and I tend to agree with here that if we don’t accept now we have issues between us now we will fall apart at a later stage.
You say that your kids are over it now but do you have any advice about how to approach the difficulties that my kids are about to experience.
I’m sorry if this is a little confused only my head is currently all over the place.

I think that is not really the best idea and I am not against higher education. However, there is an incentive to make one’s life better and if you know you have to be self reliant then you are going to be better off. Well only time will tell how this plays out.

Thanks Natasha
My little ones are quite large now
It all seems like a long time ago now which is great because it means it’s all done with.
Blogging was a fab way of dealing with stuff that really hurt at the time, I’d recommend it to anyone. A cheaper form of counseling almost.
Not living with my kids was and to be honest still is at times difficult, simply because I miss having them around me all of the time. But ultimately, I guess they are happy and settled, they know I’m here if they need me and as you say that’s the important part. People need to feel wanted loved and valued.
Good luck with your circumstances, your son has a mum with her head screwed on it seems
